Keuka College’s First Year Experience (FYE) is designed to help all students succeed in their first year of college. This coordinated experience begins with New Student Orientation, a one-day program for all admitted first-year students and their families. The program allows students and their families to become familiar with the campus, meet with faculty members, and take placement tests in preparation for fall course selection.
The students will then participate in Transition Week. This is a five-day program which starts with their move to the campus and continues with advisor meetings, account registrations, orientation sessions, and social activities. The experience culminates with a day spent at the Keuka College TeamWorks! Ropes Course. This unique outdoor team-building experience helps to build new relationships and serves to build student bonds while establishing the experiential learning process which will form the basis of the students’ education at Keuka.
The academics page details the common academic courses that first-year students will complete. These courses prepare students for the challenges of transitioning to college.
